American Manufacturing Is About More Than Just Jobs
Bringing back American manufacturing is critical to American society in more ways than just economic ones. In order for America to succeed it needs the ability to make things, not only for the stability and good jobs it provides, but for national security as well.

2020 Was All About Covid, Fool

Nearly every time the mail in ballots in the 2020 election are brought up as a matter of suspicion and concern that there may have been some nefarious goings on there, the left jumps up and waves their arms. "Hey! Over here! You do realize there was a pandemic, right?"

Covid. The infamous Covid. It's always there as an argument.

The left tried to make the same argument to explain the Biden rallies which no one attended. "Of course, there was no one there, you fool. No one wanted to die, unlike the idiots on your side."

So, brilliant one as you are, tell me; out of the potentially hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters who attended his rallies are dead and gone now? Not only were they Trump supporters attending rallies during one of the deadliest pandemics of our time, they were probably also unvaccinated and doomed to death from that too.

Of course, some people may have gotten Covid. Maybe even some people died. But if the rallies were the supposed "cause of death," I am sure that would be front page news and every bit of the 24-hour news cycle.

Rachel Maddow would have been tossing up images of lines of coffins heading for their final resting spots screaming, "Count the bodies in the wake of Trump's rallies! The stupidity! The abomination!"

It didn't happen. And furthermore, for all the efforts of the left and the media Covid wasn't even that big a deal. Okay sure. It wasn't good. People did die. I'll never discount that. But when you compare Covid to the Spanish flu, it wasn't even close.

The Spanish flu killed 10% of the entire world population. Covid took only 0.08% of it. How does it even compare?

It doesn't.

So, essentially the mail in ballots were just common sense because no one wanted to get Covid and die. Duh, right? Only it isn't the duh moment the left really wants it to be. By their measure of the threat and danger going to the polls in person might have posed, Trump probably would have lost the 2020 election simply because all of his supporters were dead from attending his rallies.

Only he got 11 million more votes in 2020 than he got in 2016. So, I guess that argument is kind of out, isn't it? Let's say just 10% of the 76 million people that voted for him attended his rallies at some point during the pandemic. That would be potentially 7.6 million people at risk.

The entire world death toll was only 7.046 million out of a world population of nearly 8 billion people.

Regarding Covid as well, the left and the media likes to banter on about how bad Trump bungled it. I mean, we all know now that during the entire time of the pandemic the WHO and the CDC kept changing their minds and got a million and one things wrong about it.

Tell that to a Democrat and they readily say, "It was a new thing. How could they know?" Except, Trump was supposed to have all the answers, right?

And tell me, what did Biden do better? Covid deaths doubled during Biden's watch. How come the left didn't jump on him for doubling the death count? Even when he was mandating the vaccines? That didn't work, by the way.

Oh, I suppose so long as it wasn't Trump making the bad decisions it was okay. God only knows how much worse things might have been if it wasn't Joe Biden screwing it up.

The thing about the 2020 election is that so many things simply didn't add up. Not the vote counts. Not the mail in ballots. Not the fact that the majority of the mail in ballots were votes for Biden. Not that Trump was winning before the mail in ballots were counted. Not that Biden got the most votes ever in the history of American elections.

Nothing to see here, folks, Biden won. Get over it.

And then of course, when you question anything the left likes to point to judges and prosecutors and this guy or that guy who all tell us, "The election was fair. Just deal with it, accept it, and move on."

As I have said many times before, this is like asking the foxes how the hens are doing. "The hens are fine," say the foxes. There may be nothing left in the coop but feathers and bones, and perhaps a few sly foxes went into the coop and learned how to cluck, but it doesn't mean we can be assured the hens are actually fine if no one bothers to go inside and check.

We have been lied to about Covid. We have been lied to about the election. We have been lied to about the insurrection. And all that's being offered to answer the questions is to go and rely on what the liars tell us?

Who's the fool?

Questioning 2020 is Not About Trump, It's About America

I found myself in an interesting conversation with someone recently wherein the topic of Donald Trump came into it, as well as the 2020 election.

I told him that I sided with the opinion that there was strong reason to suggest that the 2020 election may have been stolen, although I did not assert that I had made that conclusion and firmly believed it. "Strongly suspect," and "firmly believe," are very different positions.

"But you support Trump," he said. "That's why you think that way."

I told him that idea could work both ways. "You support Biden, and that's why you think it couldn't have happened."

The reality is that my suspicions do not, in fact, come from my support of Donald Trump. Rather they come from another place entirely. My love of country and my deeply seated patriotism. That's a very hard pill to swallow for most Americans who aren't at all on Trump's side because, of course, the media has portrayed anyone in the MAGA cause as looney toons who are active in a cult-like mentality.

While there is always going to be a fringe faction in any political party or group, it rarely makes up the whole. But it certainly gets the most attention and somehow tends to be the main focus.

Trump supporters are, by and large, simply a group of conservatives who support a leader whose values and ideas align with theirs. It doesn't make them looney. It simply makes them active participants in the political discourse who happen to have an opinion that differs from those on the left.

By their definition, that MAGA is a cult, you could say the same thing about those on the left who support Biden.

I told him, "As an American above all else, I simply want to have faith in our electoral process. I think any American should ask questions and not simply accept things because their side won."

Not only is the thought that because I support Trump, that I deny the 2020 result, it's because I am supposed to be bitter that my guy lost. Except, I have never been bitter before, and usually I can find a good reason to at least understand why my guy lost and have talked about it ad infinitum on here.

John McCain and Mitt Romney, for example, were terrible candidates who ran horrible campaigns. That's why they lost to Obama. Whether or not I agreed that the American people made the right decision, I had no reason to question that the voice of the American people was nonetheless heard.

That, above all else, should have a very big bearing on why I feel the way I do now. In other words, becoming a Trump supporter in no way made me suddenly change my overall viewpoints or how I feel about America.

I have no interest in seeing America compromised just to see a guy in office who happens to be the guy I support. We have a process. The candidates campaign, and the voters decide. It's that simple. And most of the time, it generally works out.

Obama, for example, took us down a wrong path. But was he the worst thing to ever happen to America? I will leave that open for debate, but I think we can mostly agree that the system, at least, seemed to be working and when it came down to Hillary Clinton vs. Donald Trump the right choice was made.

The American people did not want to continue down Obama's path with Hillary Clinton carrying on with his "vision for America" by proxy. Despite all the accusations to suggest otherwise, all of which were proved to be false, he was duly elected and won the election fair and square.

The point of this post is not to rehash all of the reasons why I think the election may have been stolen in 2020. The point is to make it clear that what I strongly suspect has nothing at all to do with my support of Donald Trump and has everything to do with my support of country.

I simply want to know the truth because there are enough valid questions, in my view, that we need to at least be interested in seeking out the answers for.  And I think it should be a concern for every American regardless of who won or lost.

Elections matter. They always have. Elections do have consequences, and there are enough examples in history that serve as glaring examples. But the worst consequence is to have someone in office who isn't supposed to be there. To have someone who may have been selected rather than elected.

That's dangerous. It's a serious threat to our democratic republic. If we ever arrive at a point when we truly, as a people, no longer question what our government does just because "our guy" won, that's really the end of America.

We can't trust our government, and we can't trust the media. So, what's left? It's up to We the People. We need to be interested in ensuring that even if the wrong choice is made to lead us, that it was our choice to make the wrong one.

I am not sure if I was able to change the person's mind in our conversation. But if nothing else I was at least able to explain why I feel the way I do, and why I think it is important to be cynical.

It's not about winning elections in so much as it is about preserving this great nation and making sure that our government remains one that is by, for and of the People. When our founding fathers set this country up, that was a core value, that the American people would be the ultimate curator of accountability against it.

We cannot be that if the only word we accept is theirs.

More and More, the Reasons to Question 2020 Grows Stronger

"Jim, don't you ever worry about looking like a fool for believing that the 2020 election was stolen?"

No. I don't. The thing is, for anyone who has followed any of my commentary on the issue, I have never said I believe that the election was stolen. What I have said is that I strongly suspect that the election was stolen.

"Why can't you just accept your loss and move on?"

Believe me. I would like to. In past elections I have done just that. Moved on. What makes 2020 hard to move on from are the details. I am an analytical guy. Things, for me, have to add up. Things have to make sense.

It should matter to someone on the other side of the aisle when I say, "This is the only election I have ever questioned in my lifetime." I am not questioning the election because Trump lost. I am not questioning the election because Biden won. I am questioning the election because there are too many details that simply form the question in my mind that lead me to strongly suspect something may not have been right, here.

My statement that this is the only election I have ever questioned matters because, as I have also said many times in the past, I am an American first before all else. Sure, I may be considered to be a staunch conservative Republican. But that's not something that is going to make me turn my back on my country.

Our system of electing presidents, of electing anyone, is an important part of the foundation of who we are as a country. As a people.

It needs to work for the people.

I can look back at any of the earlier elections I have seen in my lifetime and understand the wins and losses and can find reasons why they were wins or losses, even if I desired a different result. Most recently, the two Obama wins were obvious to me why they happened.

John McCain and Mitt Romney were less than desirable candidates who had no appeal and ran horrible campaigns.

Even when it came to George H.W. Bush, it was clear why he wasn't given a second term. He was not Ronald Reagan, for one. And his presidency did not deliver the results. Bill Clinton was the better choice in the eyes of the American people and his win made sense.

Whether or not Bill Clinton was better in terms of his policies can be open for debate. At the same time, even I can admit that four more years of George H.W. Bush would have left us in a worse situation than what we were left with after two terms of Bill Clinton.

It's obvious.

Which brings me back around to 2020. Did I want Trump to win? Of course I did. But not because he was a Republican. Not because he was my guy. I wanted him to win because I genuinely believe he did the work of the American people and was able to achieve righting the slightly listing ship that Obama left us with.

Biden was not the better choice. We didn't need an alternative like we did when George H.W. Bush ran for reelection. Or even back when Jimmy Carter was president for that matter. When we look at the two terms each of Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush, it makes sense why they were all given two terms.

Trump should have been given two terms looking at his presidency—again, we didn't need an alternative.

I think in order to understand where the strong suspicion of a stolen election comes from, you have to start at the beginning. The idea of a stolen election, in other words, did not come from one day in November of 2020 and the result it presented.

It came from the four or five years leading up to the 2020 election and all of the things that happened during that time.

Trump talked a lot during his campaign in 2016 about the Deep State and about the Establishment. Things that, at another time, perhaps could have been overlooked as just fodder for powerful speeches. Only, you began to see it. Early on it wasn't as clear. But when the Republican party first considered denying Trump's nomination and looking for ways to deny it, it was the beginning of a head scratching moment.

Wait a minute. If the Republican voters decided Trump was their guy, WHY deny it? Why deny his nomination?

Ultimately, he was nominated, of course. But the question I think took its roots there. For anyone today who questions the election, that's where the question started to form. We may not have known it then. But we know it now.

Then there were the four years of accusations that the Russian's were colluded with. There was the denial by the Democrats of Trump's legitimacy as the President. There was the non-stop news cycle lambasting and ridiculing Trump at every turn.

There were the impeachments.

All of these things were founding the question. They (the deep state and the establishment) wanted him out. And they were working very hard to find any way they could to do it.

And then the election happened, and Trump was out.

But, and this was a very big but here, how did it happen? When some people packed it in the night before as the results dragged on into the wee hours of the morning, Trump was winning. He almost had the election wrapped up. It was down to five states, and he was winning in all of them.

Until, that is, everyone woke up in the morning, and only after the mail-in ballots, a hot area of contention, were counted. Biden won.

For many, without a doubt, it was of course a victory. But at the same time, and not only just on the Republican side, and not just with Trump supporters, it was a bit of a surprise. It was an absolute turnaround.

When you looked at the results and saw that Donald Trump had gained voters—he received 11 million more votes in 2020 than in 2016—and Biden received the most votes ever in American history in an election, the growing question was getting some more juice.

Was Trump just that unpopular that he drove voters out to vote against him in record numbers? And there were the rallies to consider. While Trump was attracting throngs of people to them during his reelection campaign, Biden hardly campaigned at all.

There were the flags, and the hats, and the yard signs. 5 to 1 in support of Trump for President. You could see Trump supporters everywhere. You could hear them in breakrooms and in kitchens at gatherings across America.

"I support Trump."

And yet, just like that, Biden claimed the victory. I think more people questioned what happened than the media would ever have us believe. But the results were in and that was that, and we were supposed to just lie down and accept it despite all of the questions.

Questions, by the way that seemed only to deepen after the events that occurred on January 6th and the way it was portrayed, and the silencing of anyone who laid claim to the idea that something wasn't right. From shadow bans to outright bans on social media for even the suggestion that 2020 was stolen to the process beginning of also taking down anyone who made the claim. From investigations of wrongdoing to financially bankrupting anyone speaking out against 2020—the deep state and the establishment seemed hell bent on ending the question.

"Just accept the result," was the message being sent. "Or else."

You add in all of the events that have occurred against Trump up to now, and for a good many people it just adds fuel to the question, making it a much stronger one. Why are they trying so hard to get him out of the picture?

What does he know? What is his threat? And if he is to be believed by them to be as unpopular as "they" will have us believe they think he is, what do "they" have to worry about? If 81 million people said, "Biden's the guy and Trump is done," what's the threat? Why not just let him campaign and let the American people decide?

After all, he's unpopular, right? He lost, right? For good reason, right? People think he's dangerous, right? People even think he is ridiculous, as ridiculous as his claims of a stolen election, right?

Yet now he is winning. Much like he probably was in 2020. Much like I think many Americans were sure he'd get two terms.

Which brings us to all of the indictments and all of the other civil cases brought against him. The efforts to keep him off ballots. The unprecedented nature of all of these things, and it just begs the question harder.

Did he actually lose the election?

Because if he did actually lose it, why are they trying so hard to drive that point home? Shouldn't it be obvious to the American people like it was obvious in every election before it? Why would it be necessary to try to send him to jail if the voice of the American people seems so clear in their minds? And how could it be that Trump is more popular than ever with such a strong chance of actually winning in 2024 if he was a liar who made such a horrendous false accusation back in 2020?

I think the answer is pretty clear. The infamous question of whether or not the election was stolen is a valid one to ask, and there is a strong indication that they, the deep state and the establishment, know there's a reason to ask it.

Trump's Support Only Grows Despite Denials

I am sometimes, or I should say often times, confused by how some people's minds work. And that's not meant to be an insult in any way. It is simply an observation that I think some people's minds simply aren't functioning properly.

Take this statement we hear all too often, "Trump is losing support."

Huh?

I mean, to believe that one would have to completely have their head buried literally in the sand. It is demonstrably untrue. I know many people want to believe it, of course. Facts are hard for some people to swallow and even harder for some people to accept.

Trump is GAINING support. And in droves.

Granted, you do have to take polls with a grain of salt most of the time. They just aren't necessarily reliable. At the same time, when they begin to show a pattern, you have to take them more seriously. At least on the surface.

Trump is winning.

What is more telling here is where the polls generally come from and the way most polls are weighted to favor Democrats. If these polls show Trump in the lead, it means more than when it showed Hillary Clinton was in the lead.

BECAUSE the polls are weighted to favor Democrats.

And because the polls are weighted to favor Democrats, when X number of people say they are supporting Trump for president, it means that the number of people actually supporting Trump for president are much higher.

In other words, the polls may well be weighted to favor Democrats, but there comes a time when that extra weighting gets crushed by reality and the reality becomes more and more evident in the results.

President Biden's approval ratings across every single issue important to Americans are in the tank. Americans are not happy with what he's doing. It's clear as a bell. You can't hide it because the reality is just too strong right now.

You couple that with what the polls are showing regarding Trump winning in key swing states, that's telling. You match this information up with how strong his support among Republicans is, that's telling. You look at where Trump is fairing regarding his own approval on key issues, that's telling too.

Americans are overwhelmingly agreeing Trump is better equipped to deal with the economy. He is seen as the one who can fix the border crisis and deal with the crime issues. He is seen as the one who can better manage the current wars happening around the world.

Across the board, and among nearly every demographic, Trump is gaining support. He is also gaining the confidence of the American people.

Also telling is the growing, and I mean growing number of Americans who are now saying they believe something was not right about the 2020 election and are questioning what happened and who was really behind January 6th. There is also a growing number of Americans unhappy with the indictments and constant negative media reporting about Trump—they are rightly asking the question, how bad is this guy, really?

In other words, they are seeing through the smoke and mirrors and less than ever are buying into every story being told.

Still, some people refuse to believe it. They refuse to accept it.

But Trump IS gaining support. Believe it or not. Accept it or not. The truth cannot be made into an untruth.

In 2016 Trump got 63 million votes. In 2020 he got 74 million votes. That means 17.5% more people voted for him in 2020 than did in 2016. He gained support. He still lost, if we believe the results, but nonetheless, the argument could not be made that he lost support.

He had 8% of the black vote in 2016. He had 10% in 2020. It is estimated he has 11%-13% of it now. He gained black voters.

He is also polling well among women, college students and Hispanics. He is gaining support.

This is not to say that his winning in the general come November is a shoo-in. I want to be very clear about that. And it is not to say we can necessarily trust the polls either. I am simply saying that Trump is stronger than ever and is just getting stronger, and no matter how many people want to deny it or not believe it, the reality is telling a much different story, and the polls can't bury the truth any more than the media is able to right now.

Free Stuff Ain't Free, Folks

With the democrats getting going in their "race to the White House," we are of course hearing the beginnings of all sorts of promises they are making that are supposed to make your life better, and perhaps in some ways more prosperous even.

But, it's "free" stuff they are mostly chattering on about, folks.

Free college tuition, free healthcare, and even one of the contenders, a businessman by the name of Andrew Yang, is talking about just simply cutting every single citizen over the age of 18 a guaranteed monthly check for $1,000 to help boost your bottom line and supposedly, level the playing field.

But the reality is that nothing that is government funded is actually government funded. It is taxpayer funded.

The reality is, folks, that at the end of the day SOMEONE has to pay for all of this stuff that the government wants to "give" you. Remember, the government DOES NOT operate as a FOR PROFIT organization. EVERYTHING the government takes in in revenue comes directly from you...the TAXPAYER.

The government is not out there opening up a few McDonald's franchises to take in a few extra bucks. They are getting every single dime of what they take in from the people who pay taxes.

So what is a free college tuition? It is a tuition that you will ultimately actually pay for anyway. And depending on how things go, your children and grandchildren, and even your great grandchildren will have to pay for as well.

What is a free $1,000 per month? It is basically taking from Peter to pay Paul. You give the government your tax dollars, and they give it back to you in the form of a guaranteed monthly payment.

Anybody should be scratching their head at that.

Beyond that, you might be saying hey, there are enough of those evil millionaires and billionaires out there who can pay more into the system certainly to help to cover all of this free stuff. So then, if that were the case, it is actually free, right?

But hold on a minute here. Here's a little fact that you need to know.

Even if you literally confiscated every single dime of every single millionaire and billionaire in the country, you would not even come CLOSE to covering the amount of money needed to pay for all of this free stuff, let alone make a dent at all in the deficit NOR the debt itself.

And eventually, the money would run out. No matter how you look at it, the only way any of these programs stands a chance to be viable, everyone would have to pay something. Ultimately, the tax code would have to be rewritten to now find ways of getting more money from the hands of even those in the 50% who don't technically pay any taxes at all.

By the way, it should be noted that if you paid $5,000 in taxes but got a refund check of $7,000, you are part of that 50% that does not pay any taxes at all.

Paying taxes is NOT sending the government a check, or having them pull money out of your paycheck. Paying taxes is either getting less back than you paid in, or owing more than you paid in.

If I paid the government $5,000 and got a refund for $2,000, I paid taxes. They kept $3,000. Catch my drift?

I only bring these examples up since many people think they are taxpayers just because they send some of their money to the government. But unless you get less back than you paid in...you are not a taxpayer.

Look, the main point here is that nothing in this world is ever free. Everything ultimately must be paid for by someone. And there is not enough money, believe it or not—but it's the truth—to cover the expenses of everyone in the country when it comes to just college tuition and healthcare alone, let alone anything else the government may want to promise to hand out to you.

Free is not free, and the more you take, ultimately the less you will get in the end.

No one ever got ahead from a handout. Anyone on welfare or food stamps has not gotten rich from that money. Nor has anyone who collects social security alone ever get ahead.

As the democrats get up on their podiums and start making promises to give you this and give you that, keep in mind that what they are actually giving you is something you have already, or will eventually have to pay for one way or another.

Bling And Yang Equals Bull Plop

Enter onto the democratic stage Mr. Andrew Yang, running for President of the United States, and marking himself as the next best thing to the current President Donald Trump. He is not a politician, but a serial entrepreneur. But fear not. We can see what happens when a non-politician becomes master of the White House. Of course I am a Donald Trump supporter, and it is no secret that I actually think when all is said and done, not only will Donald Trump easily slide into another four years as president, but he may go down in history as one of the best presidents we have ever had the privilege of knowing. I think he could easily stand along guys like Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. And hey, because I am a fair guy, let's not forget John F. Kennedy. Historically he was also not a bad president at all. Just because he happened to have had a "D" next to his name does not automatically, to my mind, disqualify him from having been an excellent occupier of the People's House.

I am simply saying that it does not matter anymore, as Trump has proven, that you have to have political credentials in order to be an effective president.

But let's be clear as well. Just because you are NOT a politician does not automatically mean you are qualified to BE a president.

As of right now I think it is important to note that I don't think Andrew Yang has a fleeting chance in Hell to ever see the interior walls of the White House. But let's set that aside for a moment because there is something about what he is wanting to do—what his primary offering is to the People—that I find interesting.

Ludicrous. But interesting.

This election cycle on the democratic side as a whole will essentially turn out be a referendum on socialism, or a variation of forms of it. This is literally a campaign that will be about capitalism vs. socialism.

Now, while there are a few guys (and gals) on the stage denouncing socialism and rightly stating that if this is all the democrats are going to run on, the election is already over—I agree with that sentiment, by the way—those voices are few and far between. Interestingly enough, right now for whatever it is worth, I don't think the current front runner, Joe Biden, is one of those voices calling for socialism. But that's for another day.

The fact is that among the current 20 or so contenders in the game, the platform of most of them is simply to give something away. Name your prize: free healthcare, free education, amnesty for illegal immigrants, free and open borders...you name it.

And lo and behold, who will all of this free stuff come from? Ah, there you have it again as always. The evil rich people and the greedy corporations they run.

Forget for a moment that it is simply a fact that not a single democrat will acknowledge that even if you confiscated every single dime of the rich you'd still not be able to cover the damages on any of these things, let alone pay for current spending or pay off any of the debt we have.

So ultimately, even if THEY don't want to admit it (the democrats) the regular folks are still going to have to cough up for the lion's share of anything that might be "free."

But back to Yang. He wants to give every single American $1,000 per month. Sort of an idea along the lines of this whole "universal income" a lot of (let's be frank) whacko's having been talking about for a couple of years now.

Isn't that simply a subsidy? I mean, essentially that's what it is, right? A subsidy. Why has the cost of healthcare risen the way it has? Why has college tuition risen the way it has? Why did the cost of houses rise so rapidly during the real estate bubble?

It's simple folks. Anytime someone knows there is extra money out there to be had, they are going to take it.

If I own a house and my tenant tells me he just got a huge pay raise, wouldn't I probably consider at the next rental raise that perhaps that tenant might be able to afford to pay $10-$20-$30 a month more?

Probably. I know he's got the money and so I know he can afford to pay a little more.

This is the way the entire world works. Why do you think we track things like median income in this country? And who do you think is paying attention to that? Everybody knows what people have to spend. The oil companies, the cable companies, the phone companies, the grocery stores and food manufacturers...everyone. And they also know about what percentage of income any of these things should be, and so they also now what they are "entitled" to. Or maybe not entitled to. But they certainly know what is reasonably attainable from your pocket to theirs.

Why do you think so many people tend to live paycheck to paycheck? I mean, yes, there is a large part of the population that is simply inept when it comes to how to manage money properly. I have spoken about this for years. But, it also happens to be in part because these companies largely know what's out there and available for the taking, and so they adjust their prices accordingly, and unless you are wise to that fact, you will be hard pressed to ever get ahead of that little game that is being played on you.

So, what happens when you suddenly come into an extra $1,000 per month? What happens when those companies know all too well that there is an extra $12,000 a year for each and every American over the age of 18 floating around? Or potentially an extra $24,000 per household now in those wallets?

They simply take it.

If there is extra money in each and every single American's pocket, all that is going to happen is that the cost of every single good or service we buy will go higher. It's just the way it works. It's part of what drives inflation in the natural order of the economy. When there is more money floating around and when people are making more money, the cost of good and services rise.

So what, Mr. Yang, would be the value in that $1,000? It would eventually simply wash itself out. Not to mention what it may also do to productivity. But that too is for another day. No one is actually going to come out ahead. That money will simply be drained from your wallet just like virtually every dollar is drained right now. You would eventually have nothing to show for it, and there would be no gain.

Now, you also have to consider that someone has to pay for all that free money. Because it's really not free of course. Taxpayers would have to pay something to pay for it ultimately. So not only would the cost of goods and services rise, but so would your taxes washing out even more of that money. And if productivity is reduced, that potentially means less income tax revenue coming into the government coffers as well. So it's really a double whammy. No one gets ahead.

Long and short here, it's just a dumb idea no matter how you look at it. Sure, the thought of an extra $12,000 a year sounds appealing. Heck, for a guy like me who does not live paycheck to paycheck and who also makes a pretty decent living, there is a lot of appeal since I know I can likely take that $1,000 per month, save it, invest it, and gain handily on it—I can essentially game it and would indeed come out ahead even considering my examples as to how it would likely be a wash anyway.

But that's part of the point too. You see, people not having money is not really about society dealing a bad hand to the masses. It's not about unfairness or corporate greed or even low wages. It's about people not taking the time to improve their wealth, or having the knowledge to improve it. It's about people not understanding the value of money or understanding what it's intrinsic value happens to be over its in-front-of-you value.

So what happens if everyone gets that $1,000 per month? The haves and the have nots will be exactly where they started before they got the money. Nothing will change. The poor will simply be $12,000 a year poorer because they will simply spend the money and the rich will simply be richer because rich people know what to do with it—or frankly don't need it.

Part of the thing to think about here is that nobody has ever gotten better off by getting free money. Food stamp and welfare recipients don't see their lives improved. All of those folks who get more than they paid back in taxes every year do not get ahead. People who live on social security checks alone are almost all poor.

I don't think Andrew Yang has a chance to win anything, and I doubt anyone with even half a brain would think this idea makes an ounce of sense. But we shall see. At the end of the day all we need to do in this country to open doors of opportunity is to create an economic environment where that is conducive. And the good news is that is exactly what we are doing. That is exactly what Trump is doing. Less regulation, better trade deals, lower taxes for citizens and corporations are all things that are fostering economic growth, higher stock market values, more consumer activity, and wage increases across the nation.

If you look at all of the numbers it is quite clear that everyone is benefiting from this new booming economy. Don't feel like you are one of the ones participating? Let's be clear about one other thing here. Your prosperity and your economic improvement is of course going to be proportionate. What if the growth in your personal wealth is 5%? That's great. But if I have more money than you do, of course my 5% is going to be worth more. Is the top 1% getting more bang for their buck? You bet they are. But they also have more skin in the game, and so it makes sense. Fair is everyone getting their fair share of their contribution.

At the end of the day, if we can keep this ship sailing ahead, none of us is going to need that extra $1,000 per month. If we keep this ship sailing, I bet we'll all see way more than that when all is said and done.

In other words, don't settle for a simple handout when the value of everything else happening right now, this very minute, has far more value. You take this money, you cast this vote for any of this free stuff, all you are doing is selling yourself short, and in the end all of us will lose.

Well, of us except for the government. When they get done with us, if they have their way, they will have the power to control every aspect of our lives because we will need them more than ever. Land of the free was not a motto for handouts. It was a motto for self-motivation and individual opportunity for happiness and prosperity. Never lose sight of that.

Biden Can Win 'Overwhelmingly' Against Trump in 2020?

OKAY, SO OLD UNCLE JOE IS A LIKEABLE GUY. Albeit, based on a number of pictures that have made their course across the Internet, he's also a bit of a creepy old guy. In other words, as horrible as it may sound, keep him away from the kids and the damsels in general.

But, the question is can he win the presidency?

According to ex-DNC chair Ed Rendell, he seems to think so. In his words, "Biden is just the guy the country is looking for."

WHILE I APPLAUD ED RENDELL on his analysis, and while I do also believe that BIDEN WOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN A MUCH BETTER CHOICE THAN HILARY CLINTON AS THE FRONT RUNNER FOR THE DEMOCRAT PARTY in the last election, and MAY have even given Trump less of an edge, the fact remains that despite what the polls suggest, President Trump is still highly popular after one year into his presidency.

Add in the fact that despite what the lamestream news media will tell you, things are actually getting done, and Biden loses handily in 2020.

And let's face it folks. The news is only going to get better. The fact is that you cannot argue with something very fundamental in the hearts and minds of the American people, and most importantly the AMERICAN VOTER.

That's their pocketbooks and wallets if you want to know.

FOR ONE THING, THE NEW TAX LAW WILL BEGIN TO SHOW IT'S IMPACT AS EARLY AS FEBRUARY. That is, that's when the withholding tables are changed to reflect the recently passed new republican tax law. People are going to see a boost in their bottom lines come February, and if you think that won't be noticeable you are living on another planet.

Along with that, nobody can deny that so many economic standards are in territories that have not been seen for at least a decade, and I'd argue not in two of them, people HAVE TO ALREADY BE TAKING NOTICE THAT THE ECONOMY IS IN A MUCH BETTER PLACE THAN IT EVER WAS DURING THE OBAMA TERMS.

GDP is up, Hispanic unemployment is at historical lows, and so is the black unemployment rate. Consumer confidence is up. Jobs, especially in the manufacturing sector are making a bit of a comeback, and there are now more incentives than there have been in a very long time not only for American manufacturers to keep their shops open, but ADD OR REINTRODUCE SHOPS, and for some foreign companies, to LOCATE shops here.

Foxconn, which will be breaking ground in the near future in Wisconsin that will employ better than 13,000 people making over $50,000 a year on average, is a prime example of what's to come. They have never operated in the United States before. So this is quite an amazing development to say the least.

AND REALLY FOLKS, THAT'S JUST THE TIP OF THE ICEBURG. The fact is that there are going to be many more stories like that now that the corporate tax rate has been lowered to much favorable rates. Add in the reduction in costs for things like transporting those goods across oceans and you have a recipe well poised for success. And believe me, JOBS will follow, and Americans WILL take notice of the increased availability of not just jobs. But good ones that support families in terms of wages.

Furthermore then, what does Joe Biden have to run on? How is he going to support what will be the ever more clear failed economic policies of an administration he was part of, downplay what will be ever more clear SUCCESSFUL POLICIES in economic terms under Trump, and position himself as a strong contender better suited for the White House?

UNLESS SOMETHING DRAMATICALLY BAD HAPPENS BETWEEN NOW AND 2020, I think the only rightful conclusion for Joe Biden's viability in 2020, and for Ed Rendell's analysis is wishful thinking.

But it also highlights a continuing disconnect, in my opinion, of the democrat party from reality. They are still unable to acknowledge the real reasons Clinton lost, and they continue to disregard what are real accomplishments and achievements of the Trump administration. They are really disillusioned. They are living in a fantasy world.

Look. Do I think Biden would make a bad president? I'm not saying that. But I AM saying that I think what we are going to see after the first four years is said and done with Trump in the White House is a highly successful presidency with undeniable and provable results that even the most staunch liberals in the lamestream media are not going to be able to deny, much less cover up or slant in their usual way.

Can Biden win against Trump overwhelmingly in 2020? If I am basing the idea on anything current, the answer is a resounding no. Trump will serve two terms. And those two terms are going to be a successful presidency that will mimic former successes like Lincoln, Kennedy, Reagan, and okay...I'll give you Bill Clinton. You can't deny he was a successful president too.

BEYOND ALL THAT, I think based on his age alone, Biden will be a nominee if he decides to run, and I think he just might. But he will never be in the White House again. Trump's going to be too successful, and the clock is not on Biden's side. Just saying.
