American Manufacturing Is About More Than Just Jobs
Bringing back American manufacturing is critical to American society in more ways than just economic ones. In order for America to succeed it needs the ability to make things, not only for the stability and good jobs it provides, but for national security as well.

Student Loan Forgiveness Was a Misguided Initiative Anyway

Whenever the government opts to simply distribute funds, it's bound cause issues, and understandably so, for numerous reasons. It's not their money, after all. It's our money. And how ever it gets spent needs to at the very least, make sense.

The student loan forgiveness program never did.

If you benefited from the program, it's easy to see why you might support it. But at the end of the day, the bottom line is clear: if it's debt, and it's elective debt like college loans, then the responsibility to repay it should fall on the one who incurred it.

While the program was a key initiative touted by the Biden administration, polls consistently showed it was extremely unpopular—not to mention it wasn't actually constitutional.

When the government is already burdened with its own enormous debts, and is literally hemorrhaging money, how can we, as Americans, support what is essentially frivolous spending of our tax dollars? It makes no sense.

We know the why of course, although the left would never admit to it. They called it a "crisis." They were trying to buy votes from a needed sector of society. It's really that simple.

It's dead in the water now, as was recently announced. Well, of course it is. They don't need the votes anymore. Well, that and the Biden administration knows the program won't see the light of day under the Trump administration anyway.

Nor should it. Because again, it made no sense to do it in the first place.

I think there were a good many people who thought about it and wondered, where else could the money be spent if we could assume we actually had it to spend? What other areas may have offered better opportunities to provide relief, not to just one sector of society, but the masses?

Maybe we could have suspended the federal gas tax to help reduce the cost of gas and diesel. Maybe we could have offered an automatic energy credit to help with the burden of higher energy bills, especially during winter months.

Or better yet, perhaps we could have looked to aid our aging public by raising social security benefits, suspending income taxes on those benefits, or if we wanted to forgive debts, maybe we could have forgiven medical debts incurred by seniors.

The point is that while just giving money away alone rarely makes sense, if it was to be given away, at least one could better digest the notion of doing it at all if what it was given away for made at least some sense.

Set aside, if you will, that many people had to be left scratching their heads a bit at the whole idea of student loan forgiveness. I mean, aren't college grads supposed to be the smartest of the smart? They couldn't figure out how to manage and repay the debt? And wasn't the whole sell of the college education to make more money than non-college grads? But they couldn't repay the debt even with the supposed higher wages? And non-college grads would now have to pay college tuition through taxes on lower wages?

Beyond just giving money away, perhaps what would be better to do is to address why college costs as much as it does, and why the promise is not delivering the goods, but rather saddling students with debt they can't repay in the first place.

It's Like it Never Really Happened

It's not necessarily that what Kamala Harris is saying is wrong. The economy sucks, inflation sucks, the border sucks, we're lacking opportunities, and it's harder than ever for the American people to succeed and achieve the American dream. America is in bad shape, and we need someone in the White House who can recognize the problems, offer the right solutions, and turn it all back around.

I am so glad, Mrs. Harris, that you have finally awakened to the reality that we've got some serious problems here. Where have you been all these past four years?

Oh, wait. Weren't you in the White House

Wherein, not only was she party to all of the no-good policies and bad decisions that got us here, but she also defended them all along, right out there standing alongside Joe Biden telling us what our eyes and wallets knew damn well was a lie was wrong.

"Everything's running superbly. This is Bidenomics, folks. Isn't it wonderful?"

She's saying the right words. What she is saying is true. Things are bad and we need to take a different course. But the amazing thing to me is that, at the core of her campaign, it's as though Biden never happened. He's been wiped out of memory completely. Joe Biden, who? The way you hear Kamala Harris talk about it, Trump was the guy in the White House all along, these past four years, Harris is the newcomer on the block, and it's Trump's fault that all of what went wrong in America happened.

The remarkable thing is that I think the Democrats believe it, and so does the media. It's remarkable to me how quickly Joe Biden has been erased from the political landscape. Do we even feel like he's president anymore? Has anyone in the media even mentioned his name?

If they have, it's been in passing. "Oh yeah, he's still president."

The thing that scares me is that, even if in my heart I don't want to believe it's as tight at race as the media portrays it, maybe it is. Trump suffers from a lot of hate out there, and when all that hate is clouding judgements about what Biden did and what Trump will fix doesn't matter.

Even if, in their hearts, anyone who wants to cast a vote for Harris, they know it's all a lie. That it's all a big game of smoke and mirrors. The magician has pulled the rabbit out of the hat, and everyone is convinced that the rabbit wasn't there all along.

They'll still vote for her and hand over the keys to the Oval Office.

The second part of the problem is that while Trump has the right ideas and even the proven track record, the reality is that he's not a great orator, and so his message gets trapped in the mud. In a moment in time such as this, what we need is a Reagan-like delivery.

On spot. Front and center. Straightforward. Here's the problem, here's who caused it, and here's why these are the people responsible for it.

The hope is that the American voter has become accustomed to Trump's style enough that they understand that he means more than what he says and will do more than what he doesn't say. The hope is that memories have not failed, and that voter's don't fall for the rouse.

Harris isn't the solution. She's the problem.

With all that's happened in the past four years, this should be the markings of a landslide victory for Trump, but here we are looking at polls suggesting Trump may actually lose the election. I do think the voters are smarter than all of this, and I have trust in my cynicism of what the media is trying to sell us.

Can you really erase Biden's four years and pass the blame onto the guy that wasn't there through it all? I guess we will find out in November.

Press Conference After Debate Was an Expected Nothing

Listening to the White House press conference, which was broadcast from Air Force One in an audio only format was frustrating to say the least, but not unpredictable. I mean, of course White House officials are going to defend their guy. But at the same time, after the terrible debate performance last night and the scathing commentary from even CNN and so many other Democrats, many of whom all but said they were no longer supporting Joe Biden's candidacy, you would think they would be more inclined to do some hard knocks damage control and quell what has become a majority fear.

Instead, what they did was dismiss the night's performance and deflect. How can that be a working strategy? When the American people, especially members of the media who generally have your back, are now asking critical questions about the president, you answer them directly, openly, and honestly.

"What did the American people see last night at that debate?" one reporter asked.

"We saw Donald Trump tell lie after lie to the American people and speak about his radical agenda for America."

That wasn't the question.

I will admit that they did at least acknowledge that even the president himself was aware it was not a good performance. "But you can't judge the president based on one performance," they said. Only the reality is that the debate was the performance that most voters, especially independents, would actually watch. For all intents and purposes, it needed to be the performance of his life, and to dismiss the performance as just an anomaly speaks volumes about the reality of Biden's ability to lead.

Not only was the debate the performance most voters would see, but many people also watched the media reactions as well. These visuals, more than anything, are going to be the things most permanently etched in their minds.

As the old saying goes, once you see certain things, you can't simply unsee them.

The entire press conference focused on Trump, which is not unusual, nor unexpected. But doesn't that also send a message? You just had an awful night on the debate stage that millions and millions of voters saw, and rather than focus on the performance and do your best to try and explain it, you simply point to the other guy?

But Trump. Did you see what Trump did? Did you hear what he said? Trump, Trump, Trump.

What it actually says to the American people is that you have no explanation, and so in its stead you simply point fingers away from the real question. Perhaps hoping that's enough for someone to give Biden a pass and think, "Yeah. You're right. Trump was really bad, wasn't he?"

To me it just does more to hurt Biden. First of all, in order to solve problems, you have to see them. You have to acknowledge they are there in order to be able to fix them. If the president's performance cannot even be accepted, what does that say about your ability to recognize other issues?

Especially when the one you are being asked about was glaringly obvious.

I don't know why I was hoping for a better set of answers from the White House. I mean, when have we ever gotten anything straightforward from them? It's all pass the buck, deflect, point fingers, and look the other way.

I do think the American people get it, though. That's probably the silver lining. They don't need to answer the questions, actually. We already know what they are. We just wanted to know what you'd say. You said nothing, and that, above all else, provided the real answer.

Gunther Eagleman Goes Too Far

As I tend to have to repeat myself about all the time, just because I am a conservative Republican who is voting for Donald J. Trump does not mean I am going to be on our side 100% of the time, nor am I going to share certain views someone else holds just because.

I'm a Republican. I don't need to be a jerk or stoop to the childish antics of the left to be that. I simply hold views that differ from the left. That's it. And they are my views. Even my own views are not going to always align with my side, or theirs with mine.

I'm also not going to simply ever blindly disagree with the left just because it's a view coming from the left.

Look, I think Joe Biden is a failure. His presidency will go down in history as one of the worst presidencies in history. I don't say that as a Republican. I say that as an American engaged in what happens in the country and to the country. It's that simple.

Do I also believe Joe Biden is a scoundrel? Yes. I do as a matter of fact. From the questionable sniffing of women's hair to his odd fondling of children, and to the rather creepy suggestion by his daughter he took showers with her. There are some things I find rather disturbing about the man personally.

I make no concessions on that. Joe Biden is not only a terrible president. He's a creep.

But to suggest, as Gunther Eagleman did in a recent poll on X, that being a Joe Biden voter means the voter is a pedophile is, to put it bluntly, ignorant. And I normally agree with Gunther Eagleman, don't get me wrong here.

I just don't think it's either an appropriate question or an appropriate suggestion. It serves no purpose. It only serves to further divide sides and close ears and eyes to the facts. Gunther Eagleman has a platform available to him in which he can further the discussion and this is the direction he takes with that?

What is important, in my view, is to be able to have an open dialogue about the policies and issues that concern every American. Republican, Democrat, or independent. And does anyone think an independent is going to view a question like Gunther Eagleman poses as serious, or that it will make anything else he says worth taking seriously?

Besides, it doesn't take a leftie to make a pedophile. Pedophiles come in all shapes and forms, they come from all religions, and they can be conservatives just as easily as they can be liberals. I would venture to guess that there are some Trump voters who are, in fact, pedophiles themselves.

I just think it's wrongheaded and I don't mind saying so. I'd say it's also a copout just like I would accuse the left of if they did something similar. You either have an argument or you have an insult.

I mean, look at the things the left says about us for Heaven's sake. Things that are vile and horrible. And of course, patently untrue. We certainly don't like it when it is done to us. If Gunther Eagleman's question is an attempt to turn the tables on the left and give them a little of what they dish out, maybe then it makes at least some sense?

Still, to my mind it makes no sense. That's not who we are. We're not voting for Donald Trump or against Joe Biden for any other reason than we feel Donald Trump is better for the country and Joe Biden is not. Why not just leave it at that?

We have the ability to state our case, and there is no need to stoop to the lows of the left. Comments or suggestions like this only serve to invalidate any legitimate argument we have to make.

2020 Was All About Covid, Fool

Nearly every time the mail in ballots in the 2020 election are brought up as a matter of suspicion and concern that there may have been some nefarious goings on there, the left jumps up and waves their arms. "Hey! Over here! You do realize there was a pandemic, right?"

Covid. The infamous Covid. It's always there as an argument.

The left tried to make the same argument to explain the Biden rallies which no one attended. "Of course, there was no one there, you fool. No one wanted to die, unlike the idiots on your side."

So, brilliant one as you are, tell me; out of the potentially hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters who attended his rallies are dead and gone now? Not only were they Trump supporters attending rallies during one of the deadliest pandemics of our time, they were probably also unvaccinated and doomed to death from that too.

Of course, some people may have gotten Covid. Maybe even some people died. But if the rallies were the supposed "cause of death," I am sure that would be front page news and every bit of the 24-hour news cycle.

Rachel Maddow would have been tossing up images of lines of coffins heading for their final resting spots screaming, "Count the bodies in the wake of Trump's rallies! The stupidity! The abomination!"

It didn't happen. And furthermore, for all the efforts of the left and the media Covid wasn't even that big a deal. Okay sure. It wasn't good. People did die. I'll never discount that. But when you compare Covid to the Spanish flu, it wasn't even close.

The Spanish flu killed 10% of the entire world population. Covid took only 0.08% of it. How does it even compare?

It doesn't.

So, essentially the mail in ballots were just common sense because no one wanted to get Covid and die. Duh, right? Only it isn't the duh moment the left really wants it to be. By their measure of the threat and danger going to the polls in person might have posed, Trump probably would have lost the 2020 election simply because all of his supporters were dead from attending his rallies.

Only he got 11 million more votes in 2020 than he got in 2016. So, I guess that argument is kind of out, isn't it? Let's say just 10% of the 76 million people that voted for him attended his rallies at some point during the pandemic. That would be potentially 7.6 million people at risk.

The entire world death toll was only 7.046 million out of a world population of nearly 8 billion people.

Regarding Covid as well, the left and the media likes to banter on about how bad Trump bungled it. I mean, we all know now that during the entire time of the pandemic the WHO and the CDC kept changing their minds and got a million and one things wrong about it.

Tell that to a Democrat and they readily say, "It was a new thing. How could they know?" Except, Trump was supposed to have all the answers, right?

And tell me, what did Biden do better? Covid deaths doubled during Biden's watch. How come the left didn't jump on him for doubling the death count? Even when he was mandating the vaccines? That didn't work, by the way.

Oh, I suppose so long as it wasn't Trump making the bad decisions it was okay. God only knows how much worse things might have been if it wasn't Joe Biden screwing it up.

The thing about the 2020 election is that so many things simply didn't add up. Not the vote counts. Not the mail in ballots. Not the fact that the majority of the mail in ballots were votes for Biden. Not that Trump was winning before the mail in ballots were counted. Not that Biden got the most votes ever in the history of American elections.

Nothing to see here, folks, Biden won. Get over it.

And then of course, when you question anything the left likes to point to judges and prosecutors and this guy or that guy who all tell us, "The election was fair. Just deal with it, accept it, and move on."

As I have said many times before, this is like asking the foxes how the hens are doing. "The hens are fine," say the foxes. There may be nothing left in the coop but feathers and bones, and perhaps a few sly foxes went into the coop and learned how to cluck, but it doesn't mean we can be assured the hens are actually fine if no one bothers to go inside and check.

We have been lied to about Covid. We have been lied to about the election. We have been lied to about the insurrection. And all that's being offered to answer the questions is to go and rely on what the liars tell us?

Who's the fool?

Trump This, Trump That; Biden Just Can't Stop

"Release the murder hornets." Remember when that was a thing? Memes abounded that covid had lost its scariness and so in order to maintain control over the minds of The People, you had to bring something scarier to get it back in control.

Isn't the latest attempt by the Democrats, to say that Trump will refuse to accept the election results in November if he loses, sort of along the same lines?

I swear, it's one thing after another with these guys.

He was a racist. Then he was a homophobe. He was a misogynist. He was an election denier. He was an insurrectionist. He incites violence. He seeks revenge. He wants to be a dictator. He's a criminal. He's a rapist.

You name it, he's all of these things according to the left.

Does no one notice one glaring thing? The Biden administration and the media aren't talking about what Biden's done to earn reelection. They aren't talking about the real problems everyday Americans are up against and what he will do to resolve them.

It's all about Trump. It's all about the threat Trump poses. It's all about the danger to democracy if Trump is allowed back into the White House. It's all about the end of the country.

So, what is the threat? Simply that he can win in November and Biden cannot. It's really that simple, folks. People may have short term memories; I will grant you that. But people are living now, this very moment in Biden's America, and it's awakening the reality that things actually were better when Trump was president. And by leaps and bounds.

That can't be hidden. It can only be distracted from. Or at least they can try. And try, they are.

Even stalwart Democrat voices like Bill Maher and Jon Stewart aren't convinced Biden's up to speed enough to be president. And it's not like their comments are an endorsement for Trump. They're just not an endorsement for Biden.

Even Jon Stewart joked recently, "If you're telling us behind the scenes, he's sharp and full of energy and on top of it...you should film that."

As is more often than not, the case, Trump did not actually say he won't accept the results. He simply said he won't accept them unless the election is fair and square. "If everything's honest, I'll gladly accept the results," Trump said.

How is that scary? How is that a threat to democracy? And by the way, does anyone other than me get tired of that word being tossed around? We're not a democracy and never have been. The United States of America is a Republic.

The fact is, Trump is a threat to Biden's reelection. But that's because the American people are smarter than the Biden administration and the news media will ever give them credit for.

When the entire focus of your campaign is on the "other guy," it just leaves everyone wondering what the hell you really have to offer for anyone to support your campaign. Aren't you supposed to have three years of vast accomplishments you can brag about, and that Americans can believe happened?

When I worked in sales, I didn't sell my product by talking bad about my competitors. I sold mine by talking about why my product was the best choice.

So, "He won't accept the election," is just another straw in their clutches that they hope will turn people over to their side. "Bad, scary Trump is a mean guy," they want to say. They really are clutching at straws. But rest assured, it's not the final one. Because this one won't work any better than any of the other names he has been called, or any of the other accusations they have made.

Unhinged Liberals: It's Because Their Day in the Park Was Denied, That's Why

I don't disagree with liberals because they are liberals. I disagree with liberals because what they say often doesn't make any sense. They simply rarely think things through. They speak off the cuff and from an angry and unhinged perspective.

I made the comparison in a recent political forum I was participating in that liberals are often much like a child who was told they could go to the park only to suddenly be denied their day in the park. To a child, this can't simply be moved on from. It's the worst thing that could possibly happen and without their day in the park, the world is effectively over.

Liberals are largely reactionary personalities. Rather than sit back and consider things thoughtfully and try to find any positives in what they perceive as negatives, they lash out. Their minds are wholly fettered by the infuriation of not getting their way.

And don't you dare disagree with them or try to dissect and disassemble their bumper sticker talking points. They may even seek to literally destroy you.

It sounds like an insult when I say liberals lack common sense. But it's true. You can see this clearly when someone on their side suddenly changes course and begins to think about things in a rational way. Take Bill Maher. A stalwart champion of the left. He's seen now as a bit of a traitor.

"He's lost his mind," some might say on the left. Why? Because he began to see through all of the craziness that has really gone off the deep end on the left, and he has been strongly outspoken about many aspects of the LGBTQ+ movement, particularly on gender identity issues.

What happened to Bill Maher, dare I say it, is that he suddenly was making sense, and this is an absolute no-no when it comes to lefty thinking (if you can call it thinking). You're not supposed to think about anything, or God forbid, consider the consequences of things. You're just supposed to sink both feet firmly in the sand and stay the course no matter what. And sing the praises. And try to force others to see sense out of things that make no sense. And, of course, belittle and undermine anyone who tries to make sense out of senseless things that make no sense.

I even sound like a crazy man trying to make sense of liberal thinking. It's like being forever stuck on a carousel in the park. You're dizzy as hell and some deranged kid won't stop spinning it and the only way off the ride is to let go of the handle and allow yourself to be whizzed through the air and hope wherever you land, you don't land on your head.

Robert DeNiro has of course been making headlines saying absolutely crazy things about Donald Trump. He's all in on the idea of Trump being another Hitler or Mussolini. It's crazy talk. He says Trump is a sick narcissist who has no business anywhere near the White House.

But what makes him think so? What about Trump's four years in office lead him to logically conclude this?

Only that Robert DeNiro is being denied his day in the park. He wants what he wants, and he doesn't care what it means to anyone else if he gets it. It is, for lack of a better word, a tantrum. It's what all liberals are engaged in now. A tantrum.

They aren't thinking about the inflation or what may have caused it. They aren't considering the devastating and disastrous pullout of Afghanistan. They aren't thinking about the consequences of an open border. They aren't concerned about the impact of inflation on poor families. They aren't even remotely interested in knowing what really happened in 2020.

They just want their win. They just want their way. It's all that matters. Any judgement is completely banned from their minds. Any logical thought is barred.

As Bill Maher put it on his change of opinion, he has expressed his opinion didn't change. The opinion of his side changed. It is to suggest that there was a time, and even I would admit this, when the two sides of the aisle were different on a variety of issues, but also the same on many of them. We have always disagreed. But not to the extent that we disagree now.

Dare I say this as well? There was a time when the left actually had more common sense than they do now.

The thing that I don't understand is how we got here? How have we gone this far to the crazy side? Because it happened super-fast. I mean it's been a complete 180 degree turn in hyper-quick fashion. It's to the point where you really have to question, did someone just open all the doors to the asylums and let everyone out?

Even the deep hatred toward Trump that the left feels. Where is it coming from? Why is it so penetrating? Is it that Trump truly poses a grave threat to our Republic? Or is it something else? Something in the water? Was there something in that jab?

Liberals have always been a little crazy. But never like now. It's never been nearly this crazy that it would make sense to even a liberal that men should be allowed to compete in women's sports, or that we should do away with natural, common sense pronouns to describe genders. Or that we could see a completely and utter failure of a presidency and decide, "I think I will vote for more of that."

Just STOP With the Impeachment Talk

Don't get me wrong. I don't like President Joe Biden and think his administration is a complete and total failure seriously harming the lives of Americans and erasing much progress we've made as a country in recent years.

Or even over decades.

That being said, with Speaker McCarthy tossing out that word, "impeachment," it grates on me a bit. Has Biden done anything impeachable? Perhaps the real answer so far is that we simply don't know yet. Are there things that should be seriously looked into regarding Biden, especially his dealings with his son and the many allegations that have surfaced long before he "won" the 2020 election and became president.

Okay, there is also, for me, the lingering question about what really happened with that 2020 election—I am not one to outright say he stole it by the way. I simply think there are too many unanswered questions and it troubles me more Americans aren't at least interested in the possible answers.

That would be an impeachable offense for sure.

Beyond that I think, and this became very apparent with Trump's presidency, that impeachment may be becoming just a political thing more than a tool to potentially remove a really bad guy from office. It's simply losing its strength as something to be taken seriously. And I think impeachment should be an absolute last resort and very serious thing for very serious infractions having been committed by our top elected official.

Nixon, had he been impeached rather than resign, I think would have been warranted.

None of Trump's impeachments were serious, especially considering the allegations were all false, and anyone really paying attention would have immediately known it was all about a democrat party simply not liking who was in the White House and trying to find any way they could to remove him, regardless of whether there was cause or not.

It's not the same thing but it's at least relatable, but the word "racism" has suffered similar softening. It was overused and accusations of racism were assigned to things that had nothing to do with race at all. The word no longer has the stigma it once did. Racism uttered now is more likely to conjure rolled eyes than serious horror.

Is Joe Biden fit to be president? No. Is Joe Biden doing a good job and advancing causes for the American people? No. Is his presidency benefiting the country or Americans? No. But are any of the things he's doing (or not doing) impeachable? No.

He's just a terrible president and that's all.

I think the best course for the republican party is to simply focus on 2024 and how we convince the American people to make the best choice for America. Which granted will be a tough sell considering Trump is the foreseeable front runner and regardless whether or not I have no problem with him returning to the White House, many Americans are apprehensive—despite my belief that many of those apprehensions are based on lies and innuendo and false pretenses.

In other words, people have formed their opinion of Trump largely on what the media has led them to believe, not necessarily based on what the truth is. Even with all of the supposed charges and indictments against him, it is being used as a "thing to consider." But of course, people paying attention know it's all just politics and based on nothing but that.

I simply think we're too quick lately to throw out impeachment and it is doing more damage to the tool of impeachment than anything. If we reach a point where a real impeachment is absolutely necessary, no one will take it seriously because we've removed seriousness from the option to use it for real reasons.

Drop the impeachment thing, McCarthy and let's just get our attention on the upcoming presidential election and use our time to form strategies to bring our message to the American people why the ONLY choice in 2024 should be the GOP.

Stupid Talk Needs to be Called Out as Stupid Talk

Let's face it, when it comes to social media a lot gets said, and a lot of what gets said is dumb. Hell, I won't fail to admit that I have probably said some dumb things in my time on social media as well. Still, if I say something dumb someone usually calls me out on it.

Not that I always agree that what I said was dumb, mind you. Nonetheless, we call things for what they are.

Take this statement made on Twitter, now X, by Barb McQuade wherein she said, "I think a strong case can be made that Trump committed 5 counts of manslaughter on Jan 6 by recklessly causing the unintended deaths of others."

That's dumb.

Granted, I may be a little bit biased on my opinion of the whole January 6th, so-called "insurrection," in that I don't agree that the events occurred as so many believe they did.

Do I think it was an orchestrated and planned event to serve as a distraction from a possible real examination of what happened with the election in 2020? Yes. As a matter of fact, I do. But I don't want to digress. I simply want to point out my bias.

Including my bias as a Trump supporter then and now.

If there is one thing that we can all agree upon, for whatever it is worth, it is that January 6th was an unpleasant event in our history. For a lot of reasons. Still, to suggest that Trump caused it, I believe, is a real stretch of the imagination.

People, with individual intent decided on that day, provided it was not a planned and orchestrated event, to act in a manner that could at best be labeled as inappropriate, and perhaps even unfortunate. Smooth transition of power has always been a tenet of our system and on that day that tenet was challenged.

The deaths that occurred on that day were also tragic and unfortunate. But to suggest that Trump should be held liable in any way for them is ludicrous beyond imagination. Were the people who stormed the Capitol Trump supporters? Who knows? But again, does it matter if they were?

If we were to take Barb McQuade's comment seriously, we'd have to consider other events in our history and assign similar culpability. In all fairness, right?

Do we go back and hold Barack Obama to account for his decision to initiate Fast and Furious that resulted in the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent? Do we take a look at what happened in Benghazi when Hillary Clinton was serving as Secretary of State, an event that killed four Americans, and hold her accountable for those deaths?

And by the way, there is some reason to suggest maybe she should have been accountable. But even I will admit it is a bit ridiculous to suggest it. Same goes for Barack Obama and Fast and Furious.

Or what about Joe Biden? Should we, according to Barb McQuade, hold him criminally liable for the actions, or lack of actions he took which led to the death of multiple Americans on the tarmac in the withdrawal of Afghanistan?

All of these ideas are, to my mind, clutching at straws.

The bottom line is that when things like this are said, they are said out of pure hatred for the person those things are said about. There is no real basis for the comments. And frankly, there's no thought behind them either.

It's the old forest for the trees argument. You either see the one tree you want to focus on and dismiss the entire forest for potentially having similar trees, or you have no interest in the rest of the forest. Only the one tree matters.

Clearly Barb McQuade does not like Trump, so of course she's going to make a comment like that. But she has to understand what she's really saying. She can't simply dismiss all the other bad things that have happened and target the one she perceives as having been perpetrated by one man she dislikes or disagrees with.

And people should call her out for it. As I did, commenting back on her post. And as I have done here.

I Think I Could Do A Good Job, Biden Says

Could you call that one giant reason why Joe Biden should never be President of the United States? What are the American people looking for in a president? Leadership, plain and simple, and a strong and intelligent and compelling reason that they should hold the highest office in the land.

I think I could do a good job.

To be fair, I don't think that, even if Joe Biden decided to run for President of the United States, that Joe Biden would have a chance in hell of ever even getting close to becoming the Democratic nominee. In fact, I think he would most likely fall very low on the totem pole in such a scenario.

The truth is that we have been suffering from a severe lack of leadership by our current president, Barack Obama, and horribly failed policies that his administration just sticks to without hesitation, and without consideration as to the impact those policies have had, and will continue to have on the American people.

Joe Biden, I fear, would be worse than even Barack Obama, if that's even possible.

At the end of the day while I think it's too early to tell who will become the Republican nominee, I think so long as Hilary Clinton decides to make a run at the White House, she will be the one to beat. But Joe Biden is not, and will not ever be in the picture. If he is, it would sort of be like the guy standing behind the people who are actually supposed to be in the picture, holding up two fingers over their heads.
